Faculty members from various programs convened at the NwSSU-SJC Audio-Visual Hall on August 5–6, 2025, for a two-day Training Workshop on Instructional Materials (IM) Development and Evaluation. Spearheaded by the Academic Division under the leadership of Campus Dean Dr. Getulio Barcenas Jr., the initiative aimed to enhance the quality of instructional materials to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
The topics focused on module mapping and IMs evaluation process, fundamentals of instructional design, and learning activity integration. Participants also engaged in hands-on workshops on module mapping and crafting modules. Ms. Danica Zandra Ocenar, IMDPO Coordinator, and Mr. Paolo N. Meñozo, former IMPDO Head, served as facilitators, guiding participants through the design and assessment of their instructional materials.

Day two focused on refinement, peer evaluation, and feedback. Participants revised their outputs based on feedback from facilitators, evaluators, and peers and presented their final IMs. The event culminated in a post-evaluation and a closing message delivered by Mr. Eduardo Espejon Jr., Director of Research, Innovation, and Extension.

The training served as a platform for collaboration and academic growth, equipping faculty with improved skills to produce instructional materials that are not only relevant and engaging but also aligned with the university’s commitment to excellence in higher education.
