The Research, Innovation, and Extension (RIE) Office of San Jorge Campus (SJC) successfully held its annual In-House Review on April 14–15, 2025, at the Audio Visual Hall, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This two-day event provided a vital platform for faculty members to present their research initiatives, to enhance academic excellence and promote contributions to community development.

The program commenced with a welcoming message from For. Eduardo G. Espejon Jr., Director of RIE-SJC, who underscored the significance of research in the professional development of educators. He acknowledged the challenges researchers often face but emphasized that perseverance leads to meaningful and rewarding outcomes.

Throughout the event, faculty members showcased their ongoing and completed research projects. These were thoroughly evaluated by a respected panel of experts, including Dr. Rosalia Briones, Dr. Teodoro A. Amatosa Jr., Dr. Archie B. Lauderes, and Dr. Richard N. Verdeflor. Their expert insights and constructive feedback were instrumental in elevating the quality and relevance of each research output.

An awarding ceremony recognized outstanding research contributions and celebrated the hard work and commitment of all participants. The ceremony was led by For. Eduardo G. Espejon Jr., For. Reynaldo R. Aquino, Campus Administrator, and Mr. Jessie R. Sabijon of ORDS – San Jorge Campus.

With new knowledge exchanged and seeds of innovation planted, the university community now looks ahead to the next stages: implementation, collaboration, and broader impact. The In-House Review remains a cornerstone of NwSSU – SJC’s commitment to building a vibrant research culture—one that not only empowers faculty members in their scholarly pursuits but also drives sustainable development and societal progress.
