As part of its ongoing efforts to champion sustainable agriculture and empower local communities, the Northwest Samar State University – San Jorge Campus successfully held a comprehensive training session on Organic Poultry Enhancers and Sustainable Farming Practices on May 30, 2025, at 8:00 AM.

The event brought together members of the Lincoro Livestock Workers Association, agriculture students, and faculty members to explore eco-friendly alternatives in poultry production. The training highlighted the use of AVE (Aqua-Vita Enhancer) and ACW (All-Clean Water additive)—organic supplements designed to boost poultry health and productivity without relying on synthetic additives.

In line with NwSSU’s commitment to multidisciplinary approaches and environmental stewardship, the event also marked the launch of a workshop titled “Building Sustainable Farms: Integrating Organic Crops, Poultry, and Waste Recycling.” The workshop aimed to promote a holistic farming model that not only enhances yield but also minimizes environmental impact. Participants engaged in hands-on demonstrations, technical lectures, and collaborative planning exercises focused on integrated, sustainable farm design.

This initiative is part of the university’s broader goal to equip local farmers, students, and agricultural stakeholders with practical, science-based solutions for resilient and sustainable livelihoods. By continuously bridging academic knowledge and community needs, NwSSU – San Jorge Campus affirms its role as a key partner in regional development and innovation in agriculture.
