
The Allied Students of Information Technology (ASIT) – San Jorge Chapter initiated digital transformation by hosting the eGov PH Orientation on March 25, 2025, at 8:00 AM in the Audio-Visual Hall. This event, aimed at enhancing awareness and engagement with the eGov PH platform, brought together students, faculty, and non-teaching staff to discuss the role of digital governance in streamlining public services.
The orientation commenced with an opening message delivered by Engr. Elegrecio M. Timan, Campus Registrar, emphasizes the significance of digital government initiatives in modernizing public service delivery.

The eGov PH Module Discussion, led by Ms. Angel Rose Jorda, Project Development Officer of the eGov PH Support Staff provided insights into the platform’s functionalities, benefits, and its role in bridging the gap between the government and citizens through technology.

Later in the morning, Mr. Cosme Socito Jr., Information Systems Analyst and eGovPH Alter-Focal Person for Region 8, delved into the general information on eGov PH, further emphasizing its impact on governance and public service accessibility. He also highlighted the willingness of DICT to establish a potential partnership with Northwest Samar State University – San Jorge Campus, offering opportunities such as on-the-job training (OJT) programs and additional training sessions for faculty and students.
An open forum allowed attendees to ask questions and engage in discussions regarding the platform’s implementation and usability. The event concluded with closing remarksby Mr. John M. Tan, HRD Office Head who encouraged students and faculty to embrace digital transformation and explore the opportunities provided by eGov PH.



The eGov PH Orientation successfully raised awareness and fostered collaboration between the academic community and government initiatives, paving the way for a more digitally empowered society.
