Northwest Samar State University President Atty. Lorelie F. Tangaran, D.M., led the VOICES @ NwSSU: The President’s Listening Tour at the San Jorge Campus on June 18, 2026, providing students, faculty members, and non-teaching personnel an opportunity to share their concerns, insights, and recommendations directly with university leadership.
The activity encouraged open dialogue on key institutional matters. Faculty members raised concerns regarding faculty development, internal promotion, professional growth, and infrastructure improvements. Meanwhile, non-teaching personnel discussed concerns related to workplace support, capacity-building opportunities, operational processes, and the enhancement of services that contribute to the efficient functioning of the University. Participants also exchanged views on campus operations and service delivery.
Stakeholders shared best practices from their respective offices and offered suggestions to enhance resource management, operational efficiency, and stakeholder engagement across the University.
Guided by the principles of participatory governance, transparency, and inclusive leadership, the listening tour served as a valuable platform for collaboration and feedback. The discussions generated insights that will help inform future initiatives and strengthen NwSSU’s commitment to continuous improvement and institutional excellence.
