NwSSU San Jorge Campus Empowers Faculty on Intellectual Property, Scholarly Writing, and Community Engagement

To strengthen its research culture and deepen its community engagement efforts, the Northwest Samar State University – San Jorge Campus, through its Office of Research, Innovation, and Extension, successfully conducted a five-day seminar-workshop on Scholarly Writing, Intellectual Property Awareness, and Field-Based Community Engagement. The event took place from July 1 to 5, 2025, at Visayas State University, Baybay City, Leyte.

San Jorge Campus Leads Training on Organic Poultry Enhancers and Sustainable Farming

As part of its ongoing efforts to champion sustainable agriculture and empower local communities, the Northwest Samar State University – San Jorge Campus successfully held a comprehensive training session on Organic Poultry Enhancers and Sustainable Farming Practices on May 30, 2025, at 8:00 AM.

The event brought together members of the Lincoro Livestock Workers Association, agriculture students, and faculty members to explore eco-friendly alternatives in poultry production. The training highlighted the use of AVE (Aqua-Vita Enhancer) and ACW (All-Clean Water additive)—organic supplements designed to boost poultry health and productivity without relying on synthetic additives.

NwSSU–SJC BEED Faculty Empowers Daycare Teachers in San Jorge through InnovativeTeaching Strategies

In line with its commitment to community development and transformative education, Northwest Samar State University (NwSSU) successfully conducted a community outreach program titled “Innovative Teaching Strategies for Barangay Daycare Teachers in San Jorge, Samar” on May 30, 2025, at the San Jorge Municipal Covered Court.

Spearheaded by the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) faculty of the NwSSU–San Jorge Campus and supported by BEED students, the event aimed to equip local daycare teachers with innovative and developmentally appropriate teaching strategies to enhance the quality of early childhood education in the municipality.

NwSSU San Jorge Campus Launches Preliminary Outreach Activity to Empower Habal-Habal Drivers and Foster Long-Term Collaboration

As part of its commitment to community development and public safety, Northwest Samar State University (NwSSU) San Jorge Campus conducted an outreach activity titled “Enhancing Awareness of Habal-Habal Drivers on the Local and Transportation Code of San Jorge, Samar” on April 14, 2025, at the Barangay Guindapunan Covered Court. The initiative aimed not only to educate habal-habal drivers about essential traffic laws and public safety guidelines but also to pave the way for future collaboration with the Habal-Habal Drivers Association of San Jorge.

held its annual In-House Review on April 14–15, 2025, at the Audio-Visual Hall, from 8:00
AM to 5:00 PM. This two-day event provided a vital platform for faculty members to present
their research initiatives, to enhance academic excellence and promote contributions to
community development.

ASIT – San Jorge Chapter and DICT Collaborate to Host eGov PH Orientation, Advancing Digital Governance

The Allied Students of Information Technology (ASIT) – San Jorge Chapter initiated digital transformation by hosting the eGov PH Orientation on March 25, 2025, at 8:00 AM in the Audio-Visual Hall. This event, aimed at enhancing awareness and engagement with the eGov PH platform, brought together students, faculty, and non-teaching staff to discuss the role of digital governance in streamlining public services.
